KEYWORD SEARCH
The keyword search allows you to search with very specific criteria, such as shape (square, round, oval, etc), direction (vertical, horizontal, etc.), wood species or a descriptive word such as bombe, ladderback, bun, turned, shelf, ribbon, elephant, ball & claw, side, arm, loose cushion, tufted, etc. It would be impossible to list all the keywords located in our Title Lines.

To familiarize yourself with how we describe items, look at the Description lines on each piece. You'll see how words can help you narrow your search. Generally, if you can search in any of the fields such as sofa (searchable by the class), wood (searchable by materials), brass (searchable by the finish field), it is not usually accessible in the keyword search. This is a very specific search. You may use up to 3 keywords in one search by entering the words with spaces between them such as: Mahogany Extension Oval when looking for dining tables. All three words must appear in the title line, so if you get "0" matches, simply delete one of the words. You may also use parts of words to shorten your keying. Tuft for tufted, race for racetrack, claw for ball and claw, etc. When doing so, you may also get parts of other words that show up as well. Simply overlook what does not apply and use what you need.

We don't allow you to go to the keyword search first because of so much overlap in our industry. You must first choose at least a manufacturer catalog or a product search to zero in on the keywords. Many keywords have completely different meanings when applied to different products.

You may also use the keyword search to search for a furniture Series in the Contract database. Simply type in the Series when in the "Browse Catalog" section. (Typing a Series or Collection in the Product Search area could give you several manufacturers who may all use similar or identical names).
