developed to be a library of manufacturer catalogs and clearing house of information for
the design and architectural professions. The initial concept was to provide a large library
which could be easily updated and searched. In 1996 the program was moved to the Internet.
designonlineinc.com currently holds the leading position in providing an Internet library of
information to the design and retail organizations who sell or specify furnishings.
Because we are in the unique position of having already captured a very large
body of information and won credibility within a very tight knit industry, we are
entering business to business e-commerce which is a natural extension of our current
service. Our potential market is already in place and is educated in the order process for
sophisticated sales transactions.
